In het derde seizoen van The Voice van Vlaanderen (waarin Laura Tesoro werd ontdekt) haalde Carl samen met ~120 andere kandidaten uit meer dan 6000 de Blind Auditions.
Ook in events op (grotere) podia heeft Carl jarenlange ervaring met oa optredens in Het Depot (main stage) en affiches gedeeld met Milow (artikel hln.be) en multi-Grammy winnaar Daniel Ho, Willow en AKS.
Currently Carl is available for entertaining your guests on any event you can imagine or for a real "singer-songwriter style" house concert (*). Events where audiences were wowed by his unique warm vocals and well balanced choice of cover songs include:
weddings (ceremony, reception, dinner), corporate events, house warming, après-ski ambience, receptions, birthdays, bachelor(ette) parties, graduation events/parties, dinner parties etc.
Besides private events, Carl has experience on any size of stage but the largest, including clubs like House of Blues (San Diego) and Het Depot (Leuven).
For event bookings, mostly covers are played with a few originals in between. Specific songs can be added on request and the set list can be discussed up front.
(*)House concerts are another style of experience built up around the original songs Carl wrote over the past 15 years. This option assumes a listening audience will be present and the environment will be acoustically and visually wel suited for a very special musical experience of about 45-60'. Since this is both for the audience and Carl a very rare and gratifying experience, lower rates apply for this type of booking. Usually this is not the type of entertainment you are looking for through Gigstarter, but definitely indicate in the request if this is what you are after.

De single "No Matter What" die weken in rotatie zat bij Radio 2 werd opgenomen en gemixt in San Diego door Grammy winnaar Alan Sanderson (Elton John, Fleetwood Mac,...). De bijhorende muziekvideo werd gedraaid door TopNotch director Frank Telli (Lil' Kleine, Gers Pardoel, ... ). Een volgende single "Silhouettes" werd bij Joes Brands opgenomen. Die ken je als de vriendelijke hulpcoach van K3 bij The Voice Kids. Ook van deze song is een mooie video te ontdekken op Youtube. Veel kijk- en luisterplezier... Carl Durant's muziek staat op alle streaming platforms, zoals Spotify.

Het contact met Carl verliep op een zeer correcte & aimabele manier.
Wij waren ook bijzonder tevreden over de kwaliteit van het optreden. Het optreden vond plaats op onze Tuinhappening, niet meteen in de meest perfecte omstandigheden, doch Carl liet zich niet van de wijs brengen en bracht een heel mooie kwaliteitsvolle set !
Alles is perfect verlopen - We hadden Carl gevraagd om 2U achtergrondmuziek te spelen tijdens een verjaardagsfeest en hij heeft dat perfect gedaan. Alles super verlopen en de gasten vonden het top.
