For the past few years I have been writing songs as a way of exploring my rootless upbringing and coming to terms that sometimes music feels more like home than a place . My artist name comes from this as well as my berber heritage. I mainly compose on piano ballads that explore my experiences as a girl that has constantly been on the move and tries to reconcile absent landscapes of familiarity with my own musical ones. I am greatly Inspired by bossa and folk and like to use my jazz and classical training to paint dreamy soundscapes and vivid pictures of my feelings. I draw inspiration from poetry, animated films, my daydreams - from things that distil life into the romantic. I have experience singing for Jazz collectives and orchestras however I have never showcased my music before. This past year I have been practicing my live perforce at a few local pubs.
