TMB with TMT (kortweg the Metal Boys) is een uitzonderlijke, unieke en merkwaardige Oost-Vlaamse band .
Ze hebben een repertoire dat ver weg staat van heavy metal, zoals de naam zou kunnen doen vermoeden, maar dat zich situeert in het begin van de vorige eeuw tussen 1910 en 1940.
Zij putten uit oude Country blues, jugband music, Hawaïaanse muziek, string band, en pre war jazz, maar laten zich verder inspireren door elke interessante muziekvorm die iedereen afzonderlijk op zijn weg tegen komt. Je hoort blues en swing, soms hot club, soms tango. Steeds met de nodige relativeringszin en humor.
Centraal staan enkele "metal body" resonatorgitaren (originele National Steel Guitars uit de jaren 30 en één Dobro), die worden afgewisseld met mandoline, viool, stroh viool, mondharmonica, jug, zingende zaag, ukulele en contrabas. In 2001 kwam hun eerste CD, Feel like stepping out, uit. Er volgden heel wat optredens en airplay op Radio 1 en Klara.
In 2010 kwam eindelijk de opvolger Boodle am Shake met een selectie van 20 muzikale pareltjes.
Jaren ervaring, een groot enthousiasme en voorliefde voor muziek die aan de basis ligt van de huidige populaire muziek, maken elk optreden tot een unieke ervaring.
